"Attending our first TATOC conference in April 2012 was an interesting and rewarding experience.
First, it was good to be able to meet a variety of owners, developers and industry insiders and share experiences and views.
There was an impressive list of speakers and sessions that provided great insights and a sharing of knowledge. Of particular note was the industry forum where only owners could ask questions to developers and other industry players. It gave owners the chance to raise the points that they felt important.
One interesting issue that arose was the view that many owners did not fully understand the full benefits and opportunities of their timeshare ownership.
Everyone agreed that there was need to educate and inform owners. It will be interesting to see how, as an industry, we respond.
We at LiveShareTravel and Worldwide Timeshare Hypermarket are committed to improving information for owners and will be unveiling our efforts over the summer.
Professor Buhalis, of Bournemouth University, gave the keynote speech on the necessity to utilise on-line and social media marketing if the timeshare industry is to grow.

It was the first time social media had been used at a TATOC conference and we're pleased to report that across the weekend we generated over 250,000 impressions."
